VETERANS VILLAS AT SAN ANTONIO DRIVE
FAMILY & VETERAN HOUSING
ABOUT
Veterans Villas at San Antonio Drive is the new construction of 60 affordable rental homes for veterans who have experienced homelessness and families with a veteran head of household. Located at the corner of Foster Road and San Antonio Drive, this new community will provide safe, healthy, and affordable apartments, as well as professional management staff and resident services programming intended to support veterans and their families.

The surrounding neighborhood includes single-family homes, senior affordable housing to the south, and a mini-storage site across the street. In the Spring and Fall of 2019, Mercy Housing California (MHC) engaged in an extensive community outreach process with various stakeholders and worked to incorporate community feedback into the design of the building and outdoor spaces. The population mix and concept for Veterans Villas at San Antonio Drive are based on Baldwin Rose, a thriving community for veteran families and veterans who have experienced homelessness. It is the second of two veterans communities that MHC has completed in the City of El Monte.
